Bernalillo County Commissioner District 5

East Mountain Resident, Bernalillo County Enthusiast, Father, Husband, Someone Who Will Clean Up our County.

A man dressed as a cowboy standing outdoors in a wooded area, wearing a wide-brimmed hat, a suit jacket, a vest, and a tie, holding a revolver in a holster on his belt.

I am not America First, I am America Only.

I will work with the other County Commissioners to clean up our city - Albuquerque could once again be a beautiful, safe city of the Southwest with the right leadership - as well as represent the wants and needs of the East Mountains.

I want to see more of my neighbors and friends succeed. Because I am an East Mountains resident, I am better able to understand and confront the unique problems my neighbors have. Our area is often overlooked by the County but I would like to reverse that.

Campaign:

    • Funding to task force teams and behavioral health and addiction services

    • Support the sheriff in enforcing laws by funding staff, resources, and task forces

    • Eliminate bureaucratic waste & redundancy

    • No more “use it or lose it” budgets

    • Establish water security in East Mountain neighborhoods by funding co-ops and infrastructure

    • Water rights for local ranchers and farmers

    • Rudce new development where water is sparse - NO corporate development in the EM

    • Establish zoning laws that keep small businesses in and big businesses out

    • Streamline licensing for mom and pop shops and local ranchers

    • Make it less costly and difficult to start a business in our county by allocating grant funding and reducing taxes

  • Prohibit commercial wind turbines that waste water, solar panels who’s energy goes out of state, and AI data centers from dominating our landscape and resources

About Me:

I was born and raised in Northern Georgia until I was 16 years old. I then lived eleven years in Oklahoma where I attended the University of Oklahoma. I graduated with Honors and on the Dean’s List in 2010 with a degree in Anthropology (Archaeology) and a minor in History. It was during this time I fell in love with New Mexico and the greater Southwest. After eight years in Wisconsin, I married my incredible wife and started searching for a home to start a family. We found that home in the East Mountains. We have a one year old son named Arlo and a big ole fluffy dog named Elvis.

I have a passion for the wilderness and conservation, I am a voracious reader and studier of history, and I’m a Christian, a husband, a Father, and a loyal friend.
